Our Food
Here at Cafe Clare, when we say home made, we mean it. Come in at the right time of day and you'll smell the cakes baking and see Celia dusting the flour from her hands. We believe in serving seasonal food. In the winter, think pumpkin soup and filling pies. In the summer think strawberry tarts and summer vegetable risotto.
Of course somethings are never out of season, so make sure you leave room for a slice (or two) of cake. The only problem you'll have is deciding which one to try first. As our menu is so seasonal, we haven't attempted to reproduce the whole thing here on our website. We have daily and weekly specials that depend on what looks good when we visit our suppliers. A taste of our menus can be viewed from the menu list on the left hand side and our "specials" are listed below.
We aim to cater for special dietary needs and have a selection of vegetarian and gluten free dishes. Soya milk is always available and our commitment to putting the customer first means if we have the ingredients and you have a request for something that isn't on the menu then we'll do our best to cook it for you.
If you are planning a visit and want to check whether we can cater for your needs then please contact us.
